The Many Qualities of Lights

Cooper could write a photography textbook with everything he has been learning on the job. For two years now, one day a week, this cat has taken photos in the sun, in the dark, in the rain and in the snow.

Naturally a cat is drawn to sunny places, but Cooper also enjoys cooling off in the shade. Each sort of light lends to a very different type of photo, and it is wonderful to see the great variety he brings home through the cat flap.

This is the first photo Cooper has ever taken of his own shadow. Pretty rare in cloudy Seattle!

Birds! Chase the birds! A whole flock of them!

We wish we knew under whose deck this is! I love the rays of light shooting through the gaps.

Our cat enjoys hanging out in our yard even more now that we’ve finished the new deck and patio. Thanks for documenting it for us, Cooper!

Cooper is enjoying a day off today, where he can relax and hang out with his friends across the street. See you at dinnertime, Coop!

I have a feeling that Disney Pixar is going to pick this blog up for a feature film.

    Love you Cooper!
